How the challenge works
The Basics

The Size Healthy Survive the Holidays Body Transformation Challenge is an 8-week self-improvement competition for women to improve your fitness & health during the holiday period with guidance in the form of nutritional, exercise and motivational content and support. In the process, participants will have the opportunity to win valuable prizes! Those attempting to win will be judged strictly based on their progress over the course of the Challenge via the "before" & "after" pictures. 

The Challenge will run from October 22, 2017 through December 16, 2017.

This Challenge will be conducted internationally. All women 18+ from around the globe are eligible to participate!

Schedule
Steps 

1. Register and pay for the challenge. Upon registration you will receive an email from us which will include your login information and a link to download the mobile app along more detailed information.

2. When you log in you will see your personal schedule. On your schedule you will notice a few forms for you to fill out and you will digitally sign and save them. You will need to complete this portion on a computer, not the mobile app. But don't worry...everything else during the challenge can be completed using the app. Super easy, and you will be provided with more information on how to use the desktop and mobile apps to complete these steps after you register.

3. You will then need to submit your "before" photos before the deadline to be eligible for the competition. More information regarding the deadline and rules for submitting pictures will be given after you register. If you miss any deadlines, or simply wish not to compete you can still take part in the challenge and reap great rewards!

4. Over the next 8 weeks work hard, eat right and take in all the awesome knowledge, guidance, handouts, tips, coaching and inspiration we give you.

5. At the end of the 8 weeks submit your "after" photos.

6. If you are chosen as one of the 5 finalists, you will move into the open voting round where the public will vote for the winner.

7. Finally, be proud of winning! When you transform your body your health, and beat the holiday stress and weight gain that most people experience everyone wins...and enjoy it!

Q: Who is the challenge for? Am I still able to win if I live outside the U.S.?

A: Absolutely! The challenge is for all women ages 18 and over. It is open to all countries around the world, and everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Q: How is the competition judged?

A: The competition will be judged solely on the progress shown between your "before" and "after" photos. The Size Healthy Team will choose 5 finalists, which will then be voted on by the public during the open voting period.

Q: What is "online" or "virtual" training? What do I need to participate?

A: Online training with Size Healthy is an exciting way for us to offer life changing transformation and fitness coaching to our clients. It can be utilized by anyone, anywhere, offering convenience, responsiveness, flexibility and affordability. With online, or "virtual" training, we can empower you with more accountability and support than we ever could if you trained with us in-person. Best of all, it is at a fraction of the price of our in-person services!

To train with Size Healthy online and compete in the transformation challenge, you only need access to a computer, internet access, skype or other video/voice calling system (free versions are perfectly acceptable), and a mobile device with Android or iOS operating system so that you can have access to our mobile app.

Use of the free mobile app is not necessary, but we highly recommend it for convenience. With the mobile app you have the ability to communicate with us via the in-app messaging system, have access to view and track your workouts, view coaching information materials, check in with us and much more. Everything you need to complete the Transformation Challenge can be done using the mobile app, with the exception of filling out required forms. For this you will need to be logged in to your account via a web browser.

Q: Do I need to train at a gym? What special equipment do I need for the workouts?

A: We do recommend that you train in a fully equipped facility if possible, but it is definitely not necessary! Your training will be fully customized to your fitness level, the equipment you have access to, and your schedule. We never  require you to purchase any special equipment, but we will recommend certain pieces of equipment if you decide you would like to purchase some on your own. Your workouts will be tailored to your YOUnique journey and your YOUnique goals. We have had many clients enjoy success doing only body weight exercises under our carefully tailored programs. Your answers to the questionnaires, and our close monitoring of your progress will guide us in devising the perfect program for you.

Q: What's the nutrition coaching all about? Do I need to be on a special diet or take any supplements?

A: Everyone at Size Healthy is a certified nutrition coach. We coach you using a habits based approach, and using scientifically based nutritional information. We do not endorse or are affiliated with any type of "fad diet", "miracle pills", or "weight loss devices" (such as waist trainers or similar devices). We believe in getting lasting results by teaching you to make healthy nutritional choices, healthy emotional choices, and coaching sustainable habits that will stick with you for a lifetime. We do not subscribe to any particular style of eating.

 

We embrace the fact that everyone is different and has different needs. We don't subscribe to the notion that there is one correct diet, or one correct way of eating. Whether you are Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian or other, our coaching will work for you and we neither condone nor attempt to discredit any one type of diet.

We never try to sell supplementation to our clients. If you would like to supplement your training or diet just let us know. We have the knowledge and resources to help you make an informed decision, and we will give you the facts and recommendations to steer you in the right direction.

As part of the challenge, you will receive weekly meal plans and other recommendations. Like our training, these can be customized to you, so if you are Paleo, Vegan, etc., we can accomodate that...just let us know in the questionairres! You can choose between a macro nutrient based meal plan (where we give you guidelines in regards to calories, protein, carbohydrates and fats, and then you choose what to eat based on those guidelines), or a meal plan which will tell you exact foods to eat. This second type of meal plan will be complete with shopping lists and recipes...all you need to do is prepare the food!
